Glass Houses

Something Blue

Oh Cinderella and your perfect size 2

Your little black dress is Tiffany Blue

Measurements: 36 24 32

And all you can think of are those damned glass shoes

A man called Charming is never good news

But he’s got a bachelors

And you’ve got the blues

Soon you’ll get married

And it’s dinner for two

He wears the pants

He’ll order for you

Then he’ll go out and come home at 2

You won’t know where he goes

You won’t know what to do

And when your white dress is still fairly new

You’ll take up cigarettes

You’ll play the blues

You’ll live in an apartment

In the Upper East Side

Charming, the bachelor

And you, his bride.

  1. Wow. Very well done. Are you taking poetry this semester? How's that coming along? (This is Sarah W. by the way!)
